2008 Fall Black Bear Hunt
Greetings from Dead Creek Outfitters for 2009
We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and all the best in the new year.
Once again despite weird weather and hard economic times we had another great bear hunt in 2008. The weather was extremely warm during the hunt but we finished with 80% kill and a 100% sightings. The weather was great though for some fishing and A.T.V. riding, which the guys enjoyed along with the wife's home cooked meals.
Our goal this year is 12 hunters with two 6 day hunts. We built a new camp this past summer which is on our small private lake. It is private, quite and comfortable. We hope to do some summer renting for fishing and relaxation. We also include boats and motors for our guests to fish the area lakes. A.T.V's are allowed on the roads here so we encourage hunters to bring theirs for hunting and recreation.
We are also looking at a one week bear hunt in Northern Ontario WMU # 28 for Canadian hunters in August 2009. (More information to come.)
At this time it looks like the first hunt of Sept 5-10 is booked with our return hunters. Our second week will be September 12 - 17 2009.
Unfortunately we are finding that we must be more strict with Bookings and Deposit procedures. By not obtaining the deposit well in advance it is too easy for hunters to back out too late in the year to make it practical to fill the spots, reorganize baits and accommodations etc.
