Home      2010 Bear Hunt

Greetings from Dead Creek Outfitters for 2010

We hope you have a wonderful Christmas and all the best in the new year.

Again this year we had a very successful hunt. 14 hunters harvested 10 bear.  Two of our hunters were ladies who hunted hard and well but were unsuccessful leading me to speculate that bear are afraid of women. (ME TOO) What do you guys think?  The average size of the bear this year was somewhat smaller as there were multiple bear on most baits and they were hungry, therefore the younger bear came in first unfortunately for them.

Our goal this year is 12 hunters with two 6 day hunts.  We built a new camp this in 2008 which is on our small private lake.  It is private, quite and comfortable.  We hope to do some summer renting for fishing and relaxation.  We also include boats and motors for our guests to fish the area lakes.  A.T.V's are allowed on the roads here so we encourage hunters to bring theirs for hunting and recreation.

At this time it looks like the first hunt of Sept 1-6 2010.  Our second week will be September 8 - 13 2010.

Unfortunately we are finding that we must be more strict with Bookings and Deposit procedures.  By not obtaining the deposit well in advance it is too easy for hunters to back out late in the year making it impractical to fill the spots, reorganize baits and accommodations etc.

What you need to know about your hunt:

● 15,000 acres of exclusive bear management area.  Active Baits.  ATV's Welcome, bring insurance and helmets!
